My brother, Sp4 Stanley D Ross was KIA on October 20, 1969. He has been a constant force in my life as well as those who knew and served with him. In 2006 I published a book, "With Love Stan: A Soldier's Letters From Vietnam To The World," about his tour of duty in Vietnam. It contains his letters home, and accounts of his time in the field. It is filled with photos that give readers a glimpse of what war was really like.
Since then I have had the privledge of meeting many of his buddies and CO's from Charlie Co and the 199th. They have helped so much in our families healing process. There is no closure, but it is easier now to think about him and remember. Stan, and all those who went to Vietnam and returned home to find a hostile America waiting for them.It is sites like this one that gives a forum to say, thank you for your service and bravery!
You can order my book, Stan's story, at Amazon in paperback or Kindle, or if you want a signed copy, simply email me.
A proud sister,
Karen Ross Epp
